Exploring the power of story, creativity and mindful presence
I write books on adventure, art and extraordinary women, speak internationally on exploration and wonder, and lead experiences that invite deeper connection to self, story and wild places.
My way of working offers space to slow down, listen deeply, and meet times of transition with groundedness, curiosity and gentle resilience.
If life currently feels fast and fractured — or blocked and unfulfilling — and you sense there is more to it than constant busyness or repeating familiar patterns, you’re not alone. If you’re you’re feeling overwhelmed, disconnected or numb — longing for a more spacious way of living, with a feeling of alignment, ease and meaning — this work offers a place to pause and listen more deeply.
If this resonates, take your time exploring what’s here, and how I might support you.
You’re welcome to book a session directly via the shop if you’d like to begin straight away — or book a 10 minute connection call to see if we’re a good fit.

Talk: Greenland -
The Spirit of the Land and its People
Kari Herbert lived for two years as a small child with a remote community of Polar Inuit in Northwest Greenland. Her first steps were taken on the tundra; her first words spoken in the local Greenlandic dialect. She was embraced as one of their own.
In recent weeks, Greenland has become the focus of international attention, spoken about in ways that have caused deep anxiety for its people. In this talk, Kari reflects on the spirit of Greenland and its people — exploring Inuit traditions, their spiritual and practical relationship with the land. She also speaks to the present moment: the accelerating effects of climate change and the growing external pressures on Greenland’s land and resources.

Workshop: Nourish Your Vision
Awakening and nourishing the vision that wants to be expressed through you.
Nourish Your Vision is an in-person workshop for anyone who wants to tend to their vision for themselves — with playfulness, curiosity, creativity, and embodied presence.
This is a space to listen to and connect with the heart and soul of your vision, and allow it to take shape through creativity, movement, and gentle embodied practices. We will be making vision boards, enjoying guided meditations/visualisations and using EFT tapping to gently clear any blocks or unconscious resistance to what you truly desire.
Previous participants speak of how calm, at peace, positive and optimistic they feel after these workshops.

“Sedna” by Antony Galbraith
Workshop: Sedna - Inuit Goddess
An undersea goddess known by many names across the Arctic, Sedna is a wild and powerful force of nature.
In 2003, a dwarf planet was named after her and in astrology is considered to represent themes of vulnerability, long-term survival, and deep, ancestral healing. She is often associated with the ‘rebellious’ feminine, with the ability to transmute suffering.
In this unique workshop, Kari Herbert is joined by Astrologer Alison Dhuanna - together sharing the myth of Sedna across the Arctic; a creative and playful exercise in drawing our inner Sedna; how the dwarf planet Sedna is affecting us and the world astrologically and a guided meditation and gong bath to ‘meet’ the energy of this very special Inuit goddess.
Date/time to be confirmed. Contact me via the button below to be informed when this workshop will be taking place.
Who am i?
I am Kari — an internationally published author, artist, speaker and mindfulness guide whose work has been shaped by a lifelong relationship with wild places.
Taken to live in Northwest Greenland as a young child by my polar explorer father, I spent my earliest years with a remote Inuit community. There, I learned the importance of right relationship with the natural world — and the quiet power of being fully present in each moment.
I have travelled ever since. I trained as an artist, became a travel writer and photojournalist, and went on to found the independent publishing company Polarworld, producing beautifully crafted books on exploration history, culture and art.
Over time, my work has evolved at the meeting point of story, creativity, nature and mindful awareness. I have authored six books published internationally, I exhibit my artwork (see my art at kariherbertart.com), and I speak for institutions, universities and prestigious cultural and public events.
A deep respect for Inuit culture and their connected way of living has remained a guiding thread throughout my life. Alongside this, meditation, mindfulness, essential oils and embodied healing practices have been part of my personal path for over thirty years.
Today, as a certified practitioner and guide across multiple modalities, my one-to-one and group work is rooted in slowing down, listening deeply and creating space for meaningful reflection. I support others to reconnect with their inner knowing, restore balance, and remember what truly matters in an increasingly fast-moving world.
