Easy Valentine's Day DIY Gifts

There’s something lovely about taking the time to make a loved one a thoughtful gift, particularly for an anniversary or Valentine’s Day. It’s even better if it looks amazing, but actually didn’t take all that long to make… Here are a few suggestions for simple, elegant, yet gorgeous natural DIY gifts for your loved ones (and for yourself too).

All these recipes use doTERRA essential oils. If you don’t have oils with me yet and would like to get started, simply send me a message or click here for step-by-step instructions on how to get wholesale prices.

Fizzing natural bath bombs

Bath bombs are excellent gifts - they look pretty and these natural fizzers smell incredible whilst also having the therapeutic benefits of pure doTERRA essential oils. Even if you (or your loved one) don’t have a bathtub, these bath bombs can still be effective in a shower. The water will help dissolve the bath bomb and release the aroma of the essential oils into the steam.

Citric acid can be found at most major pharmacists or online. You can also use almond oil or olive oil in the place of doTERRA Fractionated Coconut Oil. You can buy silicone bath bomb moulds online. We’ve used silicone ice-cube trays and they worked well, though much smaller!

Ingredients

Recommended oils:

Instructions

  1. Place citric acid, baking soda, cornflour, and oil in a bowl.

  2. Add eight to 10 drops of the essential oil or blend of choice.

  3. Mix well with spoon until soft dough is formed. It should have the consistency of damp sand. If the mixture is too wet, try adding a little more baking soda and cornflour until consistency is correct.

  4. At this point, you may add food coloring, dried herbs, or flower petals to the mixture.

  5. Press mixture firmly into the silicone moulds. Wait 24 hours before removing from moulds, then place in a large airtight glass container, or wrap in tissue paper as a gift.

  6. To use, drop in the tub or shower and allow to dissolve.
